Pepsi Pokane
Kobedi ‘Pepsi’ Pokane is a prolific TV producer and creative entrepreneur, with a 17 year track record. He majored in International Business at Howard University (Washington D.C.) and joined the TV production industry soon thereafter. After operating as a freelancer presenter, scriptwriter and producer for a few years (2000 – 2004), he founded Bonngoe TV; a successful non-scripted production company whose achievements include: • Producing the longest running live music TV show on South African TV •Winning multiple SAFTA awards (South African Film and Television Awards) • Launching several original non-scripted formats which are still on TV today, including the likes of I Blew It, Mzansi Cribs Makeover, and Making Moves
In 2015, he co-founded Stained Glass TV, which has gone on to become the biggest production company in South Africa (by revenue and hours produced). In 2019, Pepsi joined Film Afrika Entertainment as a shareholder and executive director. He is an IPO (Independent Producers Organization) Exco member, a founding director of IFSSA (International Film Services South Africa), a member of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s PPGI Committee (Public Private Growth Initiative), and Chairperson of the Creative Sector workstream within the eThekwini Mayor’s Business Advisory Council.

Gugu Zuma-Ncube
Gugu Zuma-Ncube is a renowned South African TV producer, businesswoman, and actress. Her journey in the entertainment industry began with an undergraduate BA (Bachelor of Arts) in Live Performance from AFDA, where her passion for creating compelling and captivating television and film content took root.
Gugu’s career in the entertainment industry spans several years, and she has consistently impressed South Africans with her remarkable skills as both a producer and an actress. She has graced the screens in various drama series, leaving an indelible mark on audiences. Notable among her acting roles are appearances in popular shows such as “Interrogation Room,” “Isidingo,” and e.tv’s “Rhythm City.”
Beyond her acting talents, Gugu Zuma-Ncube has diversified her interests in various media-related businesses that span South Africa, Nigeria, and North America. Her journey took her to Los Angeles, where she joined the Africa Channel as an intern, gaining valuable insights into the international media landscape. Upon her return to South Africa, she continued to make waves in the industry.
From starting with a leading role on one of South Africa’s most beloved soap operas, Gugu’s career trajectory soared. She transitioned into the role of an Executive Producer, responsible for some of the most popular and influential shows on South African television. Gugu’s creative genius is the driving force behind the success of Stained Glass Productions, and her contribution to the entertainment world is unparalleled. Notable shows under her creative leadership include “Uzalo,” “The Wife,” and “Ifalakhe,” where her work continues to shine brightly.
